My 6 month old is trying to sit!!

Ah! 6.5 months behind him, and my little adventurer is trying to sit!

Andrew had been getting up on all fours for some days and now suddenly he's converted that into a slanted semi-sitting position. It is quite hilarious to see... Yeah, he does fall backwards sometimes, but he does seem to be in the process of perfecting the art of sitting. He is growing up fast into a cute little boy. Time flies...

That's a picture of Andrew on all fours!

Oh, I can just watch him for hours as he just innovates on different modes of transport. His greatest motivation to move around is the presence of 'banned objects' within getable distance. At the very sight of a TV remote, cell phone, camera, bottle, newspaper, plastic cover, etc., his face just lights up, and in seconds he can be seen frantically trying to get to it! Sometimes, I just watch him and wonder if we all had this kind of determination, drive, sense of wonder at one point of time... maybe we did have it as children. If so, when did we lose it? And why???

I think he misses his dad, who is away for a fortnight trying to get a back problem sorted out. Andrew has been a little cranky since his father's been away... he is very fond of his dad... I think they share a very man-to-man kind of bond. He gets so excited when daddy gets back from work everyday. It is good for me too, since I get to take a break and do something different. I do love looking after my baby, but at the end of the day I too need a break so that I can do a good job of taking care of him the next day!

I tried giving him some raw banana powder today. He seemed to like the new taste, and ate it with more ease than he does his Cerelac! I was surprised because it actually tasted horrible to me!! But maybe since he is so used to the bland taste of milk, this is good enough for him. Oh, my mum also squeezed out the juice of an apple and gave him 3 teaspoons of it. He was fine with that too. Great:)) My son is expanding his diet.
